Role Overview 
As a Registered Nurse (RNMH) with MPS Healthcare, you will deliver urgent, high-quality care in fast-paced environments, ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence. You’ll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across NHS Wales and partner institutions, providing critical support where it’s needed most. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PICU setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met. 

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans. 

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses. 

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status and maintain accurate and up-to-date records. 

  • Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary. 

  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. 

  • Participate in staff development and training programs. 

  • Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and best practices. 

 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Active NMC Registration. 

  • Minimum 6 months’ proven Mental PICU experience in an acute care setting. 

  • Strong clinical knowledge, crisis management skills, and emotional resilience. 

  • Enhanced DBS check (we’ll process this free of charge if not on the Update Service).
